Humans & Habitats Badge Program For Junior Scouts on April10 at the Heifer Learning Center at Overlook Farm in Rutland

Girl Scouts of Central & Western Massachusetts is hosting a Humans & Habitats Badge Workshop for Junior Scouts in Rutland at the Heifer Learning Center at Overlook Farm on
Saturday, April 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Juliette Scouts in grades 4 7 5 may also register. Troops and individual Scouts may register. Troops must follow safety-wise rules. Individual Scouts must attend with an adult.
PROGRAM: While preparing and eating a Global Village meal, discover how culture is reflected in the food we eat and how we prepare it. Investigate the impact of food choices and examine issues surrounding population and resource distribution. This program qualifies for the Humans & Habitats Badge (included in the registration price).
You may wish to provide a snack for the ride home as the “meal” consists of a typical simple lunch that would be prepared in a culture other than the U.S. (i.e. quinoa and vegetable stew-Peru).
Call for other dates and large-group requests.
Visit www.heifer.org to learn more about Heifer's mission.
Event # 4714

Registration will end on March 12 or when 15 Scouts have registered.
