School Vacation Week Event: Victorian Day in Holyoke

Girls Scouts of Central & Western Massachusetts Council and the Wistariahurst Museum in Holyoke is offering a special Victorian Era Day event for Girl Scouts during School vacation week on Thursday, April 23 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
The event is open to Girl Scouts in grades first through 12th.
(It is about a 75 to 90 minute drive from Framingham to Holyoke.)
Event info: Discover what life was like in the last 1800's by exploring a Victorian mansion. Experience daily Victorian life in hands-on segments. A sampling of activities includes Victorian fashion and hairstyles, the language and decoration of fans, garden and outdoor games, letter writing and diary passages, Victorian etiquette and entertainment, calling cards, and Victorian crafts.
Girl Scouts will be divided into small groups to travel through the museum.

Cost is $7 per Scout.
Registration will remain open through April 1 or until 60 girls have registered.
